ACTIVITIES ORGANISED BY THE CJMOSA
Convent of Jesus & Mary-our alma mater under whose guidance we've learnt so much! We, The
Old Students Association, cherish the values that we've imbibed from our school tradition
of serving with love. Deriving our inspiration from our dear Mother Foundress St.Claudine
Thevenet, we always strive to involve ourselves wholeheartedly for the school's benefit. Under
the able guidance of Sr.Janet as chairperson and Mrs. Veena Goel and Renu Kochchar, teacher incharge the OSA tries
to do its bit. Despite coming from diverse backgrounds, each member pools in their ideas,
efforts, & resources towards creating successful & fun filled programs for the school.
Here is a brief yet precise update of all the activities organized for the school during the
year.
The CJMOSA organizes various activities on an annual basis. These are the
Ujala treat, The
OSA Literary Day, Zenith, The Feast Day & the Annual Reunion. These are described here
briefly alongwith the other activities.
The Ujala Treaty children belonging to the school's outreach programs such as Ujala
kids are treated to a scrumptious Lunch along with some useful gifts. Every year we try to
do something different for them.
The Foundress' Day is celebrated on 3rd Feb every year when the CJMOSA honours & remembers
the ideals of our Mother Foundress. A high tea is organized for the sisters, members of the
community, teachers & entire school staff. This is a small way to express our gratitude to
them for shaping our values & grooming us into good human beings.
Tribute to Miss Neena
CJM and the OSA committee suffered a major emotional setback when our dear Ms. Nina passed
away on the 23rd of May, 2006 after battling a period of illness with great spirit. During
her 29 years of service at CJM, Ms Nina was one of those rare teachers whose excellent organisational
skills and ever helping hand found her at the helm of all affairs. Alongwith managing her
teaching career successfully, she was a keen sociologist and educationist as well. To us,
the CJMOSA, apart from her designation as the teacher-in-charge, she was more the pillar of
constant support and encouragement.
