The OSA committee hosted St. Claudine Thevenet’s Feast Day lunch on 3rd February. The event started with a small assembly about the life and work of St. Claudine, fondly known as Glady. All the sisters were then invited to cut the cake. This was followed by lunch for all the teachers, sisters, office staff, helpers and the OSA committee.

This year the Red Ribbon Reunion was held at Zerruco, The Ashok on 22nd December. The Ex- CJMites, from the batch of the nineteen seventies till date, along with their spouses, attended the event. The chief guest for the evening was Mother General Sr. Monica Joseph.

One of the attractions of the evening, the instant studio like photography along with the school background picture and school souvenirs was a hit with the crowd. The in-house DJ, keeping with the theme, played melodious foot tapping sufi music for the crowd. The chief guest for the evening Sr. Monica was extremely happy to catch up with her batch mates. She along with her 1979 batchmates were invited to cut the cake followed by the singing of the school song. As the round of cocktails and snacks were being served, everybody got talking about their school days and reviving old friendships. Soon everyone was ready to hit the dance floor. The dinner consisting of different cuisines and desserts was also enjoyed by one and all. All the guests at the event had a wonderful time and promised to come back next year with friends.

The OSA Executive Committee met on 18th December 2017 at 1:00 pm to organise the Ujala Christmas party. The party was organised for 127 Ujala children. The children gave beautiful performances to entertain everyone present. They also presented the OSA committee with beautifully hand made Christmas greeting cards.

The committee prepared a gift hamper for all the children present. The hamper consisted of a shawl, muffler, cap, sharpener, eraser, toffees, pencil box, sketch pens, lunchbox, muffin and a food box.

This year on 23rd August 2017, CJM Old Students’ Association organized an Oxford style inter school debate for its annual literary event. The participating schools were St. Thomas, St. Columba’s, Modern Barakhamba Road, DPS RK Puram, Vasant Valley, Presentation Convent and CJM New Delhi. St. Thomas was adjudged the winner.
